Swordtails are another hardy livebearer that is naturally found in brackish waters. Most livebearers are algae grazers in the wild, so they are literally picking and eating all day making them prone to heightened hunger in the home aquarium. This can lead to them picking at other fish, so it's important to supplement their daily diet with some type of treat tab, seaweed strips, or algae wafers.
