Cardinal Tetras

Cardinal Tetras are a slightly larger and more red species of Tetra than the popular Neon tetra. These guys come from shaded slow-moving waters in South America and prefer soft water for breeding. Cardinals are slightly more sensitive than neons, so it is important to ensure these guys are acclimated properly and are kept in water with quality parameters. These fish hunt live microcrustaceans so it is important to feed them smaller foods such as frozen baby brine, copepods, and aquatic worms.
