The Sand Sifting Conch gets its name from its mating behavior, as males "fight" by pushing other males away from females. These fights are not harmful and the conch are very peaceful sand sifters that will clean up your tank. They are really great cleaners so it's recommended at least 5 gallons of space per pair of conch and lots of food for both. Seaweed strips and frozen foods will be perfect for them
