Orange Shoulder Tang

The Orange Shoulder Tang (Surgeonfish) is a popular tang that changes colors as it ages, but maintains a beautiful appearance it’s entire lifespan! As a juvenile they have a yellow body with tints of blue around the edges and an orange patch on its sides. As they age they will have more defined blue around their body, and their body will change from yellow to a light gray/light blue.

Tangs are heavily grazing omnivores, so be sure to supplement lots of seaweeds & algaes into its diet! It’s important they have lots of swimming space, so at least 180 gallons would be good for this guy when full grown.
