Pao Abei Pufferfish

The Pao Abei pufferfish is a rarely found but very popular pufferfish. They can grow up to 8 inches when fully grown and require at least 40 gallons. These fish will happily eat smaller fish and may even attack fish similar in size, so it's best to house these with more of its own kind in a larger tank, or even put them in a tank with large inhabitants. They feel safe in the coverage of plants and some even display orange coloring when they get fully established and thriving in your tank. It's important to feed them snails, clams, or oysters to ensure their beak does not over grow.
