Albino Bushynose Pleco (Ancistrus sp.)

Those bristly growths that give bushynose plecos their name aren't whiskers or barbels at all — they're odontodes, the same tooth-like dermal structures that cover a catfish's entire body as tiny denticles, just wildly overgrown on the snout. Males grow a noticeably bushier crop than females, which makes this one of the easiest plecos in the hobby to sex at a glance.
