Albino Hoplo Catfish
Hoplo catfish take the Corydoras trick of gulping air at the surface and turn it into their main oxygen source, letting them shrug off stagnant, oxygen-poor water that would stress out most fish. Males take parenting further than nearly any other catfish too, building a floating bubble nest and standing guard over the eggs and fry — behavior more commonly associated with bettas than armored catfish. A tough, forgiving choice we recommend often to first-time keepers in the New Milford area.
