Bamboo Shrimp (Atyopsis moluccensis)

Atyopsis moluccensis skipped the whole pick-food-off-the-substrate strategy most shrimp use and instead evolved fan-shaped feeding appendages that filter drifting particles right out of the water column — basically a shrimp that fishes with its own hands. Park it somewhere with decent current and it'll set up shop there for hours, methodically working the flow.
