Blue Annularis Angelfish (Pomacanthus annularis)
Blue Annularis Angelfish take their name from a ring-like ("annular") marking that shows up clearly once the fish matures out of its juvenile stripes into a bold blue-and-yellow adult pattern. It's one of the larger angelfish in the store, and like every member of the family it's carrying a sharp defensive spine hidden against the gill plate for territorial disputes. A serious showpiece that needs a serious, established tank to match.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Semi-aggressive · Max size: ~16" · Min tank: 180+ gal · Diet: Omnivore, marine algae + meaty foods
