Blue Dot Sleeper Goby (Valenciennea sexguttata)

This sleeper goby covers itself in a scatter of powder-blue dots and spends its day doing unglamorous but genuinely useful work: mouthing sand, filtering it through comb-like gill rakers for anything edible, and spitting the rest back out clean. It's essentially a live-in janitor for your sand bed, and a good-looking one.
