Blue Velvet Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi)

Velvet is the deep end of the blue Neocaridina spectrum — dense, matte, edge-to-edge color with none of the translucent patches you'd see on a lower grade. Selective breeding did all the work here; genetically it's the same hardy, prolific Neocaridina davidi that built the entire dwarf shrimp hobby, just wearing a much nicer coat.
