Camel Shrimp (Rhynchocinetes sp.)
The humped back that gives this shrimp its name isn't just a quirky silhouette — held still, it rocks gently back and forth on its legs, a motion that mimics current-blown algae or drifting debris well enough to throw off predators scanning for movement. Fully nocturnal and mostly transparent, it's an easy shrimp to miss during the day and an easy one to spot working the rockwork once the lights go down.
