Coris Formosa Wrasse (Coris formosa) - Half Adult
Formosa Wrasses undergo one of the more dramatic transformations in the wrasse family — juveniles are orange with white-ringed black spots, and as they mature into the half-adult stage sold here, they're already shifting toward the more subdued green-and-blue patterning of a full adult. Like other Coris species, this one dives headfirst into the sand bed at night or the instant it feels threatened, vanishing completely in under a second. A soft, deep sand bed isn't optional — it's where this fish sleeps.
