Do-Si-Do Psammocora
Psammocora sits in an odd taxonomic middle ground — technically a small-polyp stony coral, but built more like a tough, encrusting LPS in terms of how forgiving it is. It spreads in a fine, textured sheet across rock, filling in gaps other SPS wouldn't touch without perfect parameters. That toughness makes it a solid stepping stone for reefers wanting to dip a toe into SPS without the usual precision demands.
Care level: Easy · Light/Flow/Placement: Moderate-high light, moderate-high flow, top-to-mid tank · Max size: Encrusting, spreads outward indefinitely · Diet: Photosynthetic, no target feeding required
