Fighting Conch Snail
The "fighting" in fighting conch has nothing to do with tankmates — it refers to how males spar with each other during mating season using a hooked, blade-like operculum, the same tool the snail uses day to day to flip itself upright if it gets knocked over. Look closely and you'll notice genuine eyes on stalks, image-forming and surprisingly advanced for a gastropod, which is part of why this conch cruises the sand bed so actively compared to most snails that just plow forward blind.
