Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus vulpinus)
Foxface earn their name from that elongated, fox-like snout, perfectly shaped for picking algae out of tight rockwork other grazers can't reach. The real defense isn't the face, though — it's a set of dorsal, anal, and pelvic spines loaded with a mild venom, delivered on contact rather than by choice, that keeps most predators (and careless hands) at a respectful distance. Calm, social in pairs, and one of the better algae-control options for a larger reef tank.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Peaceful · Max size: ~9" · Min tank: 90 gal · Diet: Herbivore, algae + herbivore pellets
