Galactic Purple GLO Barb

The deep electric-purple glow here is a heritable genetic trait, not a dye, tracing back to the same fluorescent-protein research that gave zebrafish their original role as pollution biosensors before GloFish became a commercial pet line. Underneath the color it's the same active barb temperament, prone to nippiness in an undersized group and much calmer once the school is big enough to redirect that energy internally. Six or more is the number to aim for.
