Glass Bloodfin Tetra (Prionobrama filigera)
Prionobrama filigera keeps its muscle tissue thin enough that you can make out the spine and swim bladder through the flank in the right light, a genuinely see-through fish rather than just a pale one. The bright red fin edges are the only opaque color note on an otherwise glass-clear body, which is exactly the contrast that makes this a standout over a dark substrate. Every bit as hardy and unfussy as its cousin the standard bloodfin tetra.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Peaceful, shoaling · Max size: ~2" · Min tank: 15 gal · Diet: Omnivore, flake/pellet
