Gold Pearl Gourami (Trichopodus leerii)

Same Trichopodus leerii biology as the standard pearl gourami, including those long, thread-like ventral fins used as tactile feelers rather than for propulsion, just bred onto a golden base tone instead of the classic silver-lace pattern. Males still develop that orange-red breeding throat as they mature, making sexing straightforward. Every bit as gentle and unhurried as the wild-type coloring.
