Golden Midas Blenny (Ecsenius midas)
Midas Blennies spend part of their life doing a convincing impression of an anthias — schooling right alongside them in golden-orange color, picking plankton from the water column the same way — which lets a fish with zero venom or defenses borrow safety in numbers from a group predators tend to leave alone. Corner one against the rockwork, though, and it drops the act fast, turning territorial and trading the gold for a duller, mottled brown.
