Euphyllia's hammer-shaped polyp tips are the giveaway for this genus at a glance, each one flared out like a tiny anchor head on inflated tissue that never really sits still. This colony runs a uniform bright green across every branch, which under actinic lighting reads almost fluorescent once the polyps fully extend. It's one of the more forgiving LPS for beginners, but don't mistake that gentle sway for harmlessness — sweeper tentacles emerge at night loaded with nematocysts, so give it a buffer from anything it can reach.
