Green Chromis Damsel (Chromis viridis)

Green Chromis are about as close to the family's peacekeeper as damsels get — they school by the dozens on the wild reef and stay genuinely peaceful in a tank, a rare combination in a family better known for staking out solo territory and defending it hard. A shifting, shimmering-green school is one of the more mesmerizing sights a reef tank can offer for the price.
