Green Devil's Finger Leather Coral (Lobophytum sp.)
Devil's finger gets its name honestly — this Lobophytum throws thick, tapering lobes that genuinely look like reaching fingers, especially once the polyps extend and give the whole branch a fuzzy outline. Like other soft corals, it periodically sheds its outer tissue layer to clear off accumulated algae and grime, a normal molt that looks worse than it is. In deep green, the contrast between the dark base and lighter, polyp-covered tips makes for good visual depth even before you factor in the movement.
