Green Hump Cat
The pronounced hump behind this catfish's head isn't fat — it's heavy muscle bracing the pectoral spines, giving real leverage when it locks those spines rigid as an anti-swallow defense against anything trying to eat it. As an adult predator in its own right, though, it spends most of its energy going the other direction: patrolling open water at night, hunting down anything smaller than its considerable mouth.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Peaceful, predatory to small fish · Max size: ~24" · Min tank: 180+ gal (adult) · Diet: Carnivore, live/frozen foods
