Lieutenant Tenneti Tang (Acanthurus tennentii)

The Lieutenant Tang carries a distinctive black stripe running through the eye like an officer's insignia, set against a steel-blue body — the feature responsible for both its common name and its rank-badge good looks. An uncommon Indo-Pacific species with a calmer disposition than many of its Acanthurus cousins, though it still needs the swimming room every large tang demands.
