Magnificent Foxface (Siganus magnificus)

The Magnificent Foxface lives up to the name with a striking black-and-white facial pattern set against a lemon-yellow body, one of the more dramatic looks in a family that already trades on bold color. Underneath the good looks is the same venomous spine loadout every rabbitfish carries, locked into place along the dorsal and anal fins whenever the fish feels threatened. A steady, unhurried grazer that does real work keeping nuisance algae in check.
