Megalodoras Uranoscopus
"Uranoscopus" translates roughly to "sky-gazer," a nod to eyes set higher and more upward-facing than most bottom-dwelling catfish — useful for spotting food and threats from directly overhead while cruising close to the substrate. Like other doradid "talking catfish," it can produce an audible sound by grinding pectoral spines against their sockets, and its flanks are lined with bony armor plates called scutes instead of scales.
