Melon Barb

A round-bodied barb with a warm, melon-toned wash that sets it apart from the more elongated, striped species most people picture first when they hear "barb." It carries a genuinely calm demeanor for the family, closer to the cherry and gold barbs in temperament than the nippier tiger lineage. Peaceful and easy, a solid schooling addition to a general community tank.
