Neon Cleaner Goby (Elacatinus oceanops)
The original cleaner goby, and the species most cleaning-station research is actually built on: an electric blue racing stripe advertises its services, and other fish, including some many times its size, queue up and hold still to be picked clean of parasites. It's one of the smallest fish in the hobby with one of the biggest resumes, and it settles into reef tanks without any of the fuss its reputation might suggest.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Peaceful · Max size: ~2" · Min tank: 10 gal · Diet: Carnivore, meaty foods + parasites
