Neon Green Clove Polyps (Clavularia sp.)
Clove polyps are octocorals, which just means each polyp runs eight feathery, pinnate tentacles instead of the smooth rings you'd see on a stony coral polyp — count them sometime, it's an easy way to spot the difference across the tank. This variety spreads fast in a glowing neon green, sending out runners across rock and rubble until it's carpeted whatever it's given. Practically indestructible and a good pick for filling in awkward gaps in the aquascape.
Care level: Easy · Light/Flow/Placement: Moderate light, moderate flow, bottom-to-mid tank · Max size: Carpets outward indefinitely · Diet: Photosynthetic, no target feeding required
