Red Phantom Tetra (Hyphessobrycon sweglesi)
Hyphessobrycon sweglesi runs a softer, more translucent red than its close relative the black phantom tetra, but the same sexual dimorphism carries over, males grow a taller dorsal fin they flare at each other in ritualized dominance displays that look far more dramatic than they actually are. Nobody gets hurt in these standoffs, it's pure posturing between rivals establishing a pecking order. A calm, easy-to-sex schooler once you know what that dorsal flare is actually about.
