Roseline Shark / Denison Barb (Sahyadria denisonii)
Roseline sharks (properly Denison's barb) aren't a Labeo at all despite the shared nickname — a torpedo-bodied barb from India's Western Ghats that schools instead of staking out solo territory, the opposite social strategy of the cave-claiming "sharks" it shares shelf space with. Wild populations crashed hard from overcollection before India restricted export, and most stock today comes from captive-breeding programs working to take the pressure off what's left in the rivers. Something we're glad to see more of on the New Milford shop floor every year.
