Seachem Aquasolum is a complete, all-in-one substrate designed to meet the needs of the discerning planted aquarium hobbyist. Unlike many competing substrates, Aquasolum is composed of 100% natural volcanic rock — no clay binders, dyes, or chemical treatments. It releases no ammonia or nitrite and does not require a nutrient-rich cap layer. Aquasolum naturally lowers and stabilizes pH in the ideal range for most soft-water aquatic plants and shrimp. Its dark earthy appearance enhances plant coloration and provides excellent root anchoring and penetration.
