Staghorn Chromis Damsel
Staghorn Chromis stick close to branching Acropora colonies in the wild, using the maze of coral branches as an escape route the instant something bigger swims past — a habitat association shared with plenty of small reef fish that trade an exposed life in open water for the protection of tight coral structure. Schooling and shimmering blue-green, it's a fish built to be watched darting in and out of rockwork.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Semi-aggressive, milder than most damsels · Max size: ~3" · Min tank: 30 gal · Diet: Omnivore, marine flake/pellet
