Starfire Red GLO Tetra (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi)

This is the tetra line the whole GloFish product family gets measured against, a heritable fluorescent-protein gene originally engineered into zebrafish as a pollution biosensor, tuned here to a saturated electric red. It's genuine genetic modification passed down through breeding, not a dye that fades, and one of the more popular color options in the lineup for exactly that reason. Peaceful, hardy, and easy in a proper school.
