Staurogyne Repens

Staurogyne repens is one of the easier carpeting plants, forming a low, bushy mat of small, fresh-green leaves along the front of a tank. Unlike delicate carpet species it grows from sturdy little stems, so it holds together well and tolerates lower light than most foreground plants. Trim it to encourage side shoots and it spreads into a dense, compact lawn.
