Tropic Marin Reef Snow Suspended Coral Food
Tropic Marin Reef Snow is a fine-particle suspended coral food designed to mimic the natural marine snow that drifts through the water column on healthy wild reefs. Marine snow — a mixture of organic particles, mucus strands, bacteria, and detritus — is a meaningful food source for many coral species, especially LPS and NPS corals adapted to capturing small suspended particles rather than larger zooplankton prey. Reef Snow particles are in the 1–10 µm range, small enough to be captured by coral mucus nets and taken up directly through tissue. Reduce flow during feeding to keep particles in suspension long enough for corals to capture them.
