Water Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis)
Water Wisteria is a fast-growing stem plant famous for the lacy, deeply cut leaves it develops under brighter light — submersed growth looks almost fern-like, while emersed leaves turn rounder. It's a genuine nutrient sponge, pulling excess waste straight from the water column, which makes it a real ally against algae in a freshly cycled tank. Plant it through the midground to background, or simply let it float.
Care level: Easy · Placement: Midground/Background · Lighting: Low-Medium · CO2: Not required · Growth rate: Fast · Propagation: cuttings (side shoots)
