Yellow Eye Bristletooth Tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus)
Like the rest of the Ctenochaetus genus, the Yellow Eye Bristletooth carries a mouth of soft, bristle-like teeth for combing detritus and diatoms off live rock rather than grazing algae outright — genuinely useful cleanup crew behavior most flashier tangs don't bother with. A bright yellow eye-ring and a compact adult size make it one of the easier tangs to justify in a moderate reef.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Semi-aggressive, milder than most tangs · Max size: ~5" · Min tank: 55 gal · Diet: Herbivore, algae + herbivore pellets
