Albino Silver Arowana (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum)
Albino arowana are a genuine rarity even within a group that's already difficult to breed in captivity — most arowana in the trade come from large outdoor pond farms in Asia, since mouthbrooding and the sheer size of breeding adults make it impractical in a standard indoor setup. An albino line surfacing and being stabilized within that already-narrow breeding pool is part of why this color form commands such a premium.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Semi-aggressive, predatory · Max size: ~36"+ · Min tank: 250+ gal (adult) · Diet: Carnivore, live/frozen foods
