The Aquatic Life Mixed Bed DI Cartridge is the final stage of any RO/DI water purification system, producing 0 TDS (total dissolved solids) water for aquarium use. After water passes through the RO membrane, trace amounts of dissolved minerals and ions remain. The mixed bed deionization resin in this cartridge ion-exchanges those remaining impurities, delivering consistently 0–2 TDS water perfect for reef aquariums, sensitive freshwater biotopes, and top-off reservoirs. The 10" standard size fits most RO/DI systems, and the color-changing resin visually indicates when the cartridge is exhausted and needs replacement.
