Asfur Angelfish (Pomacanthus asfur)
Asfur Angelfish are a Red Sea specialty, and like most large angelfish they arrive looking almost nothing like they'll look as adults — juveniles wear blue-white vertical stripes that gradually give way to a bold yellow body with a deep blue mask and tail streamer. That transformation runs on its own schedule and can take well over a year to finish. A true showpiece for a big, established tank.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Semi-aggressive · Max size: ~15" · Min tank: 180+ gal · Diet: Omnivore, marine algae + meaty foods
