Blue Eye Bristletooth Tang
Bristletooth tangs are named for a mouth full of flexible, comb-like teeth built for combing detritus and diatom film off rock and sand — a different feeding strategy entirely from the algae-scraping Zebrasoma species share a tank with. The Blue Eye variant adds a ring of vivid blue around each eye and stays small enough to work in reef systems most large tangs would outgrow in a year.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Semi-aggressive, milder than most tangs · Max size: ~5" · Min tank: 55 gal · Diet: Herbivore, algae + herbivore pellets
