Blue Line Grouper (Cephalopholis formosa)
Fine blue pinstripes over an olive body make this one of the more understated groupers we carry, but don't mistake subtle for slow: like the rest of the family it hunts by suction, snapping its mouth open fast enough to create a pressure drop that pulls prey straight in. Growth is rapid and appetite is relentless, so plan for a serious adult tank well before this one needs it. A hardy predator that basically never says no to a meal.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Predatory · Max size: ~20"+ · Min tank: 180+ gal (adult) · Diet: Carnivore, live/frozen meaty foods
