Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacterClean is a concentrated bacterial inoculant for breaking down detritus and organic waste accumulation in aquarium substrate, rockwork, and sump dead zones. The bacterial strains are selected for their ability to consume complex organic compounds that build up in low-flow areas under rock and in substrate — the stuff that drives nitrate and phosphate up over time without a visible trigger. Works best when applied directly to problem areas (substrate, under live rock, protein skimmer collection cup) rather than dosed into open water where it disperses before colonizing.
