Cambodian Show Betta (Betta splendens)
"Cambodian" is one of the oldest recognized betta color patterns, a genetic quirk that strips pigment from the body while leaving the fins in full color, so you get a pale, almost ivory frame around fins carrying a rich wash of color. It predates most of the modern hybrid lines bred purely for finnage, closer to how early Thai breeders first started selecting for looks instead of fighting ability. Still every bit as intolerant of a tankmate its own species as any other male betta.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Aggressive toward other bettas · Max size: ~3" · Min tank: 5 gal · Diet: Carnivore, betta pellets + frozen
