Cobalt Dwarf Gourami (Trichogaster lalius) - Male
A selectively bred color line of Trichogaster lalius where the wild-type red-and-blue diagonal stripes get pushed into a single, solid, saturated blue instead, this fish shown as a mature male in full color. Same small size and low tank footprint as any dwarf gourami, and the same visible quarantine period is worth running given the line's history with viral disease in mass-farmed imports. A vivid, low-maintenance centerpiece once settled in.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Peaceful, semi-territorial with own kind · Max size: ~3.5" · Min tank: 15 gal · Diet: Omnivore, flake/pellet + frozen
