Copperband Butterflyfish
The Copperband Butterflyfish carries two separate tricks in the same slender body: an elongated snout built to slip into cracks and pick off aiptasia anemones and bristleworms other fish can't reach, and a bold false eyespot near the tail that confuses predators about which end to strike. In the wild they pair up for life and patrol the same stretch of reef together for years. Picky eaters at first in a new tank, so we always confirm ours are eating well before they go home.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Peaceful · Max size: ~8" · Min tank: 75 gal · Diet: Omnivore, meaty foods, pest anemones/worms
