Coral Banded Shrimp (Stenopus hispidus)
Stenopus hispidus carries claws genuinely large enough to deliver a pinch worth respecting, which is exactly why it earned the nickname "boxer shrimp" long before anyone worried about coral reef aesthetics. It pairs up monogamously in the wild and will do the same in a tank given two compatible individuals, but two unrelated coral banded shrimp sharing the same rock is a fight waiting to happen — this is a one-per-tank animal unless you know you've got a bonded pair.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Semi-aggressive with own kind · Max size: ~3" · Min tank: 20 gal · Reef safe: Yes · Diet: Omnivore, scavenger
