Desjardin's Sailfin Tang (Zebrasoma desjardinii)

Zebrasoma desjardinii is the Indian Ocean counterpart to the Pacific sailfin tang, carrying the same oversized, flaring dorsal and anal fins but with a more intricate pattern of stripes, spots, and mottling across the body. Juveniles and adults look different enough in pattern density that it's easy to mistake one for a different age class entirely.
